 Chicago's summers are always full of great music festivals all over the city, most of them usually free and open to audiences of all ages. Labor Day weekend on Chicago's south side is offering up a three day weekend of live music performances, arts, crafts and much more. The 2010 Brighton Park Festival takes place September 4-6 from 12-10PM on Archer Avenue between Sacramento and Kedzie.

 The new album from Nortec Presents: Bostich + Fussible 'Bulevar 2000' is the follow-up to the duo's GRAMMY-nominated release ' Tijuana Sound Machine.' As 'Tijuana Sound Machine' saw Bostich + Fussible collaborating directly with musicians in the studio, the group's current standard live setup now features a backing band as well. In the past year, they've played major stages like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands + Central Park SummerStage as well as around the globe from Sweden and Germany to Australia.  We are putting a twist on our August 16th edition of Proyecto Latina and welcoming our first guest curator. Sandra Treviño–an authority on Chicago’s Latin Alternative music scene for over ten years–has hand-picked three emerging Latina musicians she wants to see spotlighted–there will be live music and a q&a. As always, the chisme box will be there and the open-mic list will only have four spots, so arrive early to sign-up.
